The Omagh Men's Shed Great Christmas Potato Give Away 2017
My Proposed Project Which WILL be Made to The Men's Shed Committee on the 27th June 2017

Aim
The aim of the project is to provide an amount of freshly harvested free potatoes just before Christmas to the community of Omagh.
Objective
The objective is to utilise the new Polytunnel that OMS is going to erect in late June or early July 2017 and make it an all year round resource for the local community of ALL ages, religions, races genders etc and experiences levels.
Reason Why
The funding to buy the polytunnel and fixtures has been provided by NI Housing Executive's Community Fund.
My Son David completed a 10k charity run in Nottingham, England and raised £330 for OMS.
I am a very proud Dad.
My thanks also go to all 22 supporters who made donations many of whom are my friends and family.
I feel a great responsibility to ensure the money is spent wisely. Therefore I gave a great deal of thought as to which type of project to undertake and came up with the Great Christmas Potato Give Away.
Project Details
Growing potatoes during the late autumn and early winter pose some challenging problems. However, I believe my solutions will have a good chance of succeeding and produce high yields.
